Woodston Personnel is seeking applications for the position of Consultant in Breast and Endocrine Surgery to join our client’s medical team at a leading healthcare facility in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing specialist surgical services, including management of benign and malignant breast disease, thyroid, and parathyroid pathology. We are seeking a highly trained surgeon with strong academic and clinical credentials, and a commitment to clinical excellence, patient-centered care, and continuous improvement.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Provide expert clinical and operative management of patients with breast disease, including benign, high-risk, and malignant conditions.
Perform a full range of breast surgical procedures including breast-conserving surgery, mastectomy, oncoplastic techniques, axillary surgery, and sentinel lymph node biopsy.
Diagnose and treat endocrine surgical conditions including thyroid and parathyroid disorders; endocrine surgical experience in adrenal pathology is desirable.
Collaborate with medical oncologists, radiologists, endocrinologists, pathologists, radiation oncologists, and genetic counselors to ensure multidisciplinary, evidence-based care.
Participate in and contribute to the weekly multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings for breast and endocrine cancers.
Participate in outpatient clinics, inpatient care, emergency consultations, and operative sessions.
Provide pre-operative assessment and post-operative care, ensuring patient safety and continuity of care.
Provide clinical leadership and support to junior doctors, surgical trainees, and nursing staff.
Contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of the breast and endocrine surgery service.
Participate in hospital committees, governance meetings, and contribute to strategic planning and service improvement.
Assist in the development and maintenance of clinical pathways, policies, and protocols in line with international guidelines and best practice.
Teach and supervise medical students, interns, residents, and fellows in surgery.
Provide training in operative skills and clinical decision-making.
Contribute to continuing medical education (CME) programs, conferences, and workshops within the institution and externally.
Engage in clinical research, audits, and quality improvement initiatives within the breast and endocrine disciplines.
Publish and present findings at national and international conferences.
Participate in or lead clinical trials and contribute to the evidence base in breast and endocrine surgery.
Ensure timely and accurate documentation of clinical activities in electronic medical records and patient notes.
Participate in audit, morbidity and mortality reviews, and clinical governance activities.
Assist in the preparation of business cases, service evaluations, and resource planning to support future development of the service.

Essential Qualifications (One of the following certifications is required):
US Board Certification in General Surgery with subspecialty training in Breast and/or Endocrine Surgery
FRCS (General Surgery or equivalent) – Recognized from UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand
Diplôme d'Études Spécialisées (DES) or CIS – French Board
Facharzt with Sub-Board / Fellowship in Breast and Endocrine Surgery
CCST UK – Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in General Surgery with subspecialty focus in Breast and/or Endocrine Surgery
Minimum 3–5 years post-board/fellowship experience in breast and endocrine surgery is preferred
Demonstrated competence in complex breast and endocrine surgical procedures
