Position purpose
- Assist in achieving business results of own restaurant in terms of revenue and profits achievement, customer attraction and satisfaction, operational excellence, and enhanced people capability
Key activities
Financial Excellence
- Maximize store profitability by tapping different sources of income to increase sales and assist in managing inventory and controlling variable costs.
- Prepare data for producing daily, weekly, and quarterly financial reports.
- Ensure all cash handling procedures are performed in an accurate and consistent manner, and in accordance with company policies and procedure.
- Train the team on new products and follow up sales performance in different sales channels (dine-in, take out, home delivery, etc.)
Guest Obsession
- Talk to customers to get first time impressions and build lasting business relationships.
- handle guest complaints and escalate cases to senior management if the situation warrants
Operational Excellence
- Properly place food and non-food materials requisitions using stock management system
- Abide to restaurant operating hours based on venue and legal requirements
- Monitor controllable costs and strive to achieve required financial objectives
- Build robust partnerships and / or networks with key governmental and business bodies or institutions
- Determine daily and weekly staffing needs according to business volume with a focus on productivity aspects
- Ensure implementation of preventive maintenance routines, and maintaining adequate staffing levels
- Periodically dissect products performance and recommend new ways to improve current performance, i.e., suggestive selling
- Follow mechanisms and approaches to optimize the cost elements and maximize the profit margins
- Conduct communication meetings and debriefs to keep the staff aware of the restaurant performance as well as company updates
- Follow up cleaning schedules to ensure availing clean and sparkling facilities
- Maintain the restaurant official documents and staff files in a safe place
- Follow company regulations in handling daily sales and end of day procedures
- Resolve employees concerns and ensure to provide positive work environment that boosts team retention and engagement. Keep attrition level to the minimum.
People Management
- Replace restaurant manager in vacations and emergencies
- Conduct “on the job exposures” to interested candidates and answer queries
- Assess performance of the team and construct development plans
- Ensure all restaurant team members are certified and constantly trained on all aspects of the operations; perform certification and provide feedback as needed.
- Provide encouragement and support to staff to enhance the right working environment
Compliance
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures (including health and safety policies), local rules and regulations
- Recommend policies updates
- Clean Shaven & Grooming Adherence
