SWATX is looking for an Application Performance Specialist to join our team and take charge of optimizing the performance and reliability of our software applications. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring application performance, diagnosing performance-related issues, and implementing best practices to ensure optimal user experience. You will work closely with development and operations teams to fine-tune performance parameters and contribute to the successful deployment of applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor application performance metrics and generate reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Diagnose performance issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize application code and architecture for improved performance.
- Develop and maintain performance testing plans and execute load, stress, and endurance tests.
- Implement performance monitoring tools and analytics to enhance visibility into application behavior.
- Provide recommendations on hardware and software configurations to boost application performance.
- Educate team members on performance-related best practices and methodologies.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in application performance monitoring, analysis, and optimization.
- Strong understanding of application architecture, performance testing, and optimization techniques.
- Proficiency in application monitoring tools such as New Relic, AppDynamics, or similar.
- Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and analytical thinking to devise effective solutions.
- Strong communication skills to articulate performance issues and recommended improvements to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with cloud-based applications and distributed systems is a plus.
