Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Responsibilities
- Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable
- Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Conduct bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies
- Assist in budgeting processes and provide insights on financial performance
- Generate and analyze financial reports for management review
- Ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards and regulations
- Utilize software such as Quicken for efficient financial management
- Collaborate with public accounting firms as necessary for audits or tax preparation
Experience
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or a related field
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial concepts, and governmental accounting practices
- Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Quicken, is preferred
- Familiarity with journal entries, bank reconciliation processes, and accounts payable functions
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
