The Ventilation Sales Manager at Nihon Kohden is responsible for driving sales growth, market share, and brand presence for the company’s ventilation and respiratory care portfolio across assigned territories. This role focuses on managing and developing distributor networks, building strategic relationships with key healthcare providers and decision-makers, and ensuring alignment with the company’s commercial objectives.
By leveraging in-depth product knowledge, market insights, and medical device industry expertise, the Ventilation Sales Manager will lead sales strategies, secure business opportunities, and support long-term customer satisfaction while ensuring compliance with local regulations and Nihon Kohden’s global standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue and market share targets in assigned regions.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the ventilation product segment.
- Drive product positioning and brand awareness in collaboration with marketing and clinical teams.
- Recruit, onboard, and manage regional distributors to ensure strong representation of the ventilation portfolio.
- Monitor distributor performance, provide sales and product training, and support local marketing activities.
- Establish KPIs for distributors and ensure regular performance reviews and corrective action plans.
- Manage sales activities across multiple countries, ensuring compliance with local regulations and market requirements.
- Conduct regular market visits to build relationships with key hospitals, healthcare providers, and government entities.
- Collaborate with regulatory teams to ensure timely product registration and compliance.
- Maintain strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in respiratory care.
- Provide technical and commercial support during tenders, product evaluations, and contract negotiations.
- Address customer feedback and coordinate after-sales support with the service and clinical teams.
- Prepare regular sales forecasts, market analysis, and performance reports.
- Monitor competitor activities and provide strategic recommendations for market positioning.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven training in sales, account management, or business development within the medical devices sector.
- Minimum 8–10 years of sales experience in medical devices, with at least 5 years focused on ventilation or respiratory care products.
- Demonstrated experience in managing distributors and indirect sales channels across multiple countries.
- Strong background in medical device manufacturing and understanding of supply chain processes.
- Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in competitive markets.
