Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the geotechnical and hydrology team in conducting detailed assessments and studies to inform project design and execution.
- Develop and implement effective management strategies for soil and water resources in accordance with project specifications and local regulations.
- Oversee the preparation of comprehensive geotechnical and hydrological reports and documentation.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integration of geotechnical and hydrological considerations into overall project planning.
- Monitor site activities and provide guidance on construction practices related to geotechnical and hydrology issues.
- Engage with external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and clients, to communicate findings and project needs.
- Stay abreast of advancements in geotechnical and hydrological engineering and apply best practices to ongoing projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Hydrology, Civil Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 15+ years of relevant experience in geotechnical and hydrology engineering, with a focus on Middle East projects.
- Proven experience in conducting site investigations, analyzing geotechnical data, and providing foundation design recommendations.
- Strong understanding of soil and rock mechanics, foundation design principles, and hydrological concepts.
- Experience working with geotechnical software and tools.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
- Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience with various geotechnical and hydrological software packages.
