Job Title: Solar PV Design Engineer

About the Role
We are currently hiring a highly skilled Solar PV Design Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Saudi Arabia. This is a key technical role responsible for the end-to-end design of solar PV systems — including rooftop, ground-mounted, and hybrid installations. If you are passionate about renewable energy, detail-oriented, and experienced in the Saudi solar market, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-feasibility and feasibility studies for solar PV projects.
- Prepare technical documents including setting-out plans, SLDs, PVsyst simulations, HOMER & Helioscope modeling.
- Design detailed construction drawings: string layout, earthing, cable tray, electrical room layouts, etc.
- Ensure all engineering designs are fully compliant with KSA authority requirements (WERA, SEC, SASO, MOMRAH, Civil Defense).
- Lead and perform site surveys and design verification for optimal system layouts.
- Collaborate with procurement for technical evaluation and BOM preparation.
- Generate as-built documentation and provide support during project handover.
- Drive innovation and cost-effective engineering solutions through value engineering.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to building a high-performance team.
- Ensure compliance with HSE and international engineering standards (IEC, NEC, SEC).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics, or Renewable Energy Engineering.
- SEC Certification for Design (preferred but not mandatory).
Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of overall experience in Solar PV design.
- Mandatory: At least 2–3 years of experience in KSA solar projects.
- Experience with off-grid and hybrid system designs is a strong advantage.
