Responsibilities:
- Lead, plan, and execute the design and implementation of mechanical systems for high-rise and hotel projects.
- Supervise and coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to ensure mechanical works are executed as per design, codes, and standards.
- Review, approve, and provide technical guidance on shop drawings, material submittals, and design documents.
- Ensure compliance with international standards, Saudi building codes, and project specifications.
- Conduct detailed site inspections to monitor quality, safety, and progress of mechanical works.
- Manage testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems, ensuring full functionality and integration with other services.
- Prepare and review method statements, risk assessments, and technical reports for project activities.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, structural, and electrical teams for effective interdisciplinary coordination.
- Identify potential risks, propose technical solutions, and resolve site issues promptly.
- Support procurement activities by evaluating technical offers and ensuring material compliance.
- Mentor, train, and supervise junior engineers and site teams to build technical expertise.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to project timelines, cost, and quality benchmarks.
- Ensure sustainability and energy efficiency measures are incorporated into mechanical designs.
- Represent the mechanical discipline in meetings with clients, consultants, and authorities.
- Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and records.
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s degree is an advantage).
- Minimum 15 years of proven experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in high-rise or hotel projects.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
- Familiarity with CAD, Revit, and other engineering software.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- Strong understanding of safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
