Job Overview
The Sales Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the sales team to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth. This role involves developing and implementing effective sales strategies, overseeing key account and wholesale management, and ensuring excellent customer service. The Sales Manager will work closely with the marketing and business development teams to align sales efforts with overall company objectives. This position requires a dynamic leader with strong sales acumen, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to motivate and inspire a sales team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Collaborate with the CCO and Sales Director to develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the Modern Trade and Wholesale sales teams, ensuring strategic alignment and fostering a culture of excellence.
- Segment Oversight:
- Manage both the Modern Trade and Wholesale sales segments, overseeing the sales activities and ensuring achievement of revenue targets.
- Coordinate with Modern Trade Sales Supervisor and Wholesale Sales Supervisor to align strategies, optimize sales efforts, and set targets.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Address customer issues promptly and work towards solutions to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with key retail clients, ensuring favorable terms for both parties.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and resolve any issues promptly.
- Performance Monitoring:
- Monitor the performance of the Modern Trade and Wholesale sales teams, providing regular feedback and implementing improvement plans as needed.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and challenges.
- Internal Communication:
- Facilitate effective internal communication within the sales department and with other relevant departments.
- Ensure timely delivery of requested reports by team members and participate in team meetings.
- Training and Development:
- Identify training needs within the sales team and coordinate with HR for relevant training programs.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the wholesale sales division.
- Data analysis
- Analyze various reports, prepared by sales team members, such as QOH monitoring, PO tracking etc.
- Take immediate action based on the analysis, communicate any issues to the customers and ensure implementing smooth solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience of at least 5 years in wholesale sales and key account management, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory/managerial position.
- Fluency in English, native Arabic speaker.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical and strategic planning abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of the Saudi wholesale and modern trade markets.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
