INTECH Automation Intelligence is seeking a Safety Officer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in advancing Process Automation Solutions across industries such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Utilities, and Renewable Energy. You will be responsible for conducting safety analyses, enforcing HSE standards, monitoring site activities, and ensuring full compliance with regulatory and company safety requirements across all project operations. At INTECH, you will contribute to groundbreaking projects, leveraging expertise in Integrated Control Systems, SCADA Virtualization, Wellhead Automation, and Telecommunication to drive operational excellence and innovation.

What You’ll Lead and Deliver
- Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and risk assessments for all activities, including instrument installation, mechanical, civil and electrical works, etc. Develop and implement site-specific safety plans and emergency response procedures.
- Monitor work activities including HOT work, cable laying, scaffold erection, and welding to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Supervise permit-to-work (PTW) system including hot work, confined space, electrical isolations, and working at height.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety induction sessions for new workers and subcontractors. Promote a positive safety culture among workers through awareness campaigns and regular HSE meetings.
- Perform regular inspections on scaffolds, cable laying paths, panels, UPS & battery enclosures, welding sites, and commissioning areas. Identify unsafe conditions/practices and recommend corrective actions. Maintain accurate records of incidents, near misses, and safety violations and submit reports as per company and client requirements.
- Coordinate with project engineers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure HSE requirements are embedded in daily operations. Interface with client HSE representatives and ensure compliance with KSA legal and regulatory safety requirements.
- Review and approve method statements and risk assessments submitted by contractors. Maintain HSE documentation, including checklists, permits, and inspection logs.
Requirements
To Be Successful in This Role, You Must Have:
- Diploma/Degree in Engineering or relevant HSE qualification (NEBOSH IGC or equivalent)
- Minimum 3–5 years of HSE experience in construction, industrial, or oil & gas sector
- Familiarity with Saudi Aramco, SABIC, or ISO 45001:2018 standard
- Knowledge of local regulatory requirements and international HSE standards
- Proficient in hazard identification and risk mitigation
- Ability to conduct training and emergency drills
- Sound knowledge of PTW, LOTO, and HIRAC techniques
- Computer literate with HSE reporting systems
