Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor the project Quality Management System (QMS) in line with PMC requirements and international standards.
- Supervise and review the contractor’s quality control procedures, inspection & test plans (ITPs), method statements, and checklists.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and surveillance to ensure compliance with project specifications and codes.
- Verify materials, equipment, and construction works against approved submittals and standards.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and client representatives to resolve quality-related issues.
- Review and validate test reports, calibration certificates, and inspection records.
- Monitor and report non-conformance (NCRs) and ensure corrective and preventive actions are effectively implemented.
- Ensure all inspection requests (IRs) and material approval requests (MARs) are addressed in line with the project schedule.
- Prepare and submit periodic quality performance reports to the PMC/Client.
- Participate in project progress and technical meetings to advise on quality-related matters.
- Support the preparation of project close-out documentation, including as-built drawings, inspection records, and quality dossiers.
- Ensure compliance with airport authority standards and aviation-specific regulations (ICAO, FAA, GACA, etc.).
- Provide training, mentoring, and technical guidance to junior QA/QC staff and site inspectors.
- Monitor subcontractor performance to ensure alignment with quality standards.
- Contribute to risk assessment, root cause analysis, and implementation of preventive measures.
- Liaise with health & safety teams to ensure quality and HSE requirements are integrated.
- Support project management in achieving contract deliverables and client satisfaction through effective quality oversight.
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or related field).
- Minimum 12 years of quality control/assurance experience, with at least 5 years in airport construction projects.
- Experience in PMC / Supervision consultancy roles is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of international standards (ISO 9001, ICAO, FAA, ASTM, ACI, BS/EN, etc.).
- Certification in Quality (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, ASQ CQE, or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills in English.
