The Project Engineer will prospect and manage all aspects of an EPC project business, from its inception to completion, to increase John Crane's Market Share in MENA region excluding Saudi and Bahrain. This position will also work in conjunction with the End User Team, EPC Managers in other region and OEM Sales teams for developing and implementing the Oil and Gas, Industry and Power sector growth strategy within the region, and delivering new project business opportunity within the sector.
SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Develop project opportunities mainly within Oil & Gas/Chemical / Power/ Petrochemical / Industry Sectors.
- Develop appropriate targeting plans for key EPC in the region.
- Using the Account Management tools build relationships with key clients and targets.
- Promote and develop the John Crane Products.
- Check for regular project update within the data base made available and from the market.
- Manage project funnel and associated update locally/regionally/internationally.
- Work closely with the End User Sales Team regularly to acquire project intelligence and maximize wins.
- Develop and implement a structured approach to project business development, maintaining the relationship with EPC contractors & OEM’s in the region.
- Establish John Crane as the preferred supplier for the entire product portfolio into the sectors.
- Liaise with OEM and EPC Managers globally as deemed fit and maximize project win percentage.
- Facilitate project kick-off (with internal and external stakeholders) and transition planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or another relevant field is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in similar role, in engineering and/or sales and projects
- Proven experience in strategic selling of large-scale projects
- Computer literate in MS Office, MS Outlook
- Ability to negotiate at all levels with a variety of stakeholder
- A strong technical/product knowledge. Excellent administration and organization skills
- Fluent in English and Arabic
