Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality classroom cover across the primary school as required, ensuring continuity of learning and student engagement.
- Deliver pre-planned lessons in accordance with the UK National Curriculum and IPC frameworks.
- Manage the classroom effectively, maintaining a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Support individual student needs, including those with EAL, SEND, and high potential.
- Use digital tools to support and enhance learning when appropriate.
- Collaborate with class teachers, year leaders, and specialist staff to ensure consistency and cohesion in teaching.
- Participate in staff meetings, planning sessions, and whole-school activities where required.
- Uphold the school’s commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
- A UK PGCE, QTS, or an internationally recognised teaching qualification.
- A minimum of two years’ teaching experience with primary-aged students.
- Solid understanding of the UK National Curriculum and inquiry-based learning.
- Strong classroom management and behaviour strategies.
- Experience teaching in diverse, multicultural settings.
Desirable:
- Previous experience working in UK independent or international schools.
- Familiarity with the IPC framework.
- Confident use of Apple technology and digital learning platforms.
- Experience stepping into various year groups with flexibility and confidence.
