JOB OBJECTIVE
Within the KSA sales team of Thales SIX PRS SEC, you will have the responsibility to develop order intake for Thales Security Solutions & Services activities and accelerate its growth in the KSA for the four types of business:
- Critical Infrastructure Protection
- Airport Security
- Large Events and Crisis Management
- Safe & Smart Cities
You will develop sales of these portfolios and contribute to the growth of our activity in the KSA.
You shall have extensive sales skills and experience as well as a strong business background and track record in the region, preferably in the security domain. Thales Cybersecurity Products business division is a leader in innovative Identity and Data Security solutions. The Pre-Sales Consultant will work closely with regional Sales teams as a technical expert on data security projects with partners and customers across KSA and the Middle East.
You will work with a market-leading data protection portfolio, including:
- CipherTrust Manager
- High-Speed Encryption
- Hardware Security Modules (HSMs)
- Data monitoring and auditing solutions
The role blends technical problem-solving and client-facing communication, with a strong focus on encryption, cryptography, and cloud security technologies. The position is based in Riyadh, KSA, with some travel (~20%) across the Middle East, primarily within the Kingdom.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Act as a technical advisor and solutions consultant during sales engagements for Thales’ Data Protection portfolio.
Understand customer requirements by analyzing use cases, application environments, and data flows.
Deliver demos, proof-of-concepts (PoCs), and solution architecture recommendations based on gathered insights.
Provide configuration and customisation support to align solutions with customer environments.
Assist and consult on integration, compatibility, and APIs for third-party applications.
Develop a deep understanding of data encryption, cryptographic key management, and cloud security platforms.
Collaborate with sales teams to ensure customer satisfaction and successful technical alignment.
Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies, APIs, products, and third-party tools as required.
Engage customers in person when needed across KSA and the Middle East (~20% travel expected).
Support solution adoption in data-in-motion protection, DevOps security, and data lifecycle encryption.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- 8+ years’ experience in a customer-facing pre-sales or solutions engineering role within Information Security or a closely related domain
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage both C-level executives and technical teams
- Proven experience in technical solution design, problem-solving, and demonstrations
- Hands-on experience with:
- Cryptography, encryption, PKI, TLS, hashing
- Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud
- Data monitoring, auditing, and classification tools
- DevOps and virtualization platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, VMWare, HyperV, etc.)
QUALIFICATION, CERTIFICATION & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or equivalent work experience
PREFERRED SKILLS
Technical Skills:
- Deep knowledge of:
- Cryptography (PKI, TLS, digital signatures, certificate handling)
- Encryption and Key Lifecycle Management for data at rest/in motion
- API integration: PKCS #11, REST, Microsoft CNG/CSP, OpenSSL, Java JCA/JCE
- Data discovery and classification across databases, network shares, and big data
- Cloud and hybrid environments, including virtualization technologies
- Experience with:
- Security DevOps tools (secrets management, policy automation)
- Data-in-motion encryption for WAN, cloud, SDN networks
- Scripting and software development on Windows and Linux
Soft Skills & Attributes:
- Strong verbal communication and objection handling
- Highly curious and eager to learn new tools and technologies
- Collaborative mindset with an ability to balance technical depth and soft skills
- Willingness to travel (~20%) across the region and engage customers on-site when needed
