Duties & Responsibilities:
1- Perform or assist in the start-up or shut down of assigned plant and facilities according to approved operating procedure or instruction.
2- Conduct regular inspections and walk through of plant facilities to ensure plant is functioning efficiently. Also, spot malfunctions or symptoms and refer to Shift Supervisor or console operator.
3- Respond to emergency or upset conditions taking necessary field activities, such as flaring, blow down, isolation, diversion, switching with close communication with console operator and/or shift supervisor.
4- Collect sample and perform process chemical and physical test as required.
5- Support or Assist Shift supervisor if required and as per instructed such as communication with other section, contractor or vendor and issue work permit.
6- Perform in-plant housekeeping duties and provide appropriate technical advice to others field operator.
7- Perform any other duties and responsibilities as designated by the Shift Supervisor.
Minimum Requirements:
-High school with 8 years of experience in HDPE plant operation or Diploma with 5 years of experience in HDPE plant operation.
-Plant specific understanding of mechanism and start/stop field operation.
-Understanding of instruments, DCS and emergency shutdown system taking in charge.
-Thorough understanding of refinery or petrochemical plant layout and operating process taking in charge.
-Safety awareness and implementing safety policy and Hazards protection.
