Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Planning & Scheduling Engineer to join our team for a prestigious hospitality project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project planning, scheduling, and monitoring, with a proven track record of delivering complex hospitality construction projects on time and within budget. The role requires expertise in project management tools, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Scheduling :
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or equivalent software.
- Define project milestones, critical paths, and key deliverables in alignment with project objectives.
- Create resource-loaded schedules to track manpower, equipment, and material requirements.
Progress Monitoring & Reporting :
- Monitor project progress against the baseline schedule and identify variances.
- Prepare and present weekly/monthly progress reports, including S-curves, histograms, and earned value analysis (EVA).
- Recommend corrective actions to mitigate delays and ensure timely project delivery.
Coordination & Communication :
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project timelines.
- Conduct regular coordination meetings to review progress and resolve scheduling conflicts.
Risk Management :
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize schedule impacts.
- Perform delay analysis and provide extension of time (EOT) claims when necessary.
Compliance & Documentation :
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, contractual requirements, and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including schedules, logs, and reports.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in planning and scheduling, with at least 3 years in hospitality construction projects.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and resource allocation.
- Expertise in critical path method (CPM), earned value management (EVM), and delay analysis.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Certifications (Preferred): PMP (Project Management Professional) or PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Team player with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
