Job Summary:
The Material Controller is responsible for overseeing, tracking, and managing all materials and equipment for the Solar/PV project to ensure timely availability, proper storage, and accurate documentation in compliance with project and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with procurement and site teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Inspect and verify materials upon receipt for quantity and quality compliance.
- Maintain an up-to-date material inventory register and tracking system.
- Organize and control storage areas to prevent damage, loss, or misuse.
- Issue materials to site teams based on approved requests and project schedules.
- Monitor material consumption and prepare daily/weekly usage reports.
- Coordinate with suppliers and logistics for deliveries and returns.
- Ensure materials are stored and handled in accordance with safety and quality standards.
- Support the site team in identifying and resolving material shortages or delays.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Material Controller in Solar/PV construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of material handling, storage, and inventory control.
- Proficiency in MS Office and inventory management systems.
- Good communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
