Parsons is now hiring Electrical Engineers with a desire to work on projects that change the fabric of our community.
What You'll Be Doing:
Lead the design and engineering of large-scale electrical infrastructure systems, including medium-voltage (MV) and low-voltage (LV) power distribution networks, substations, and main switchgear rooms.
Develop detailed electrical design packages for lighting, grounding, lightning protection, and other power systems, ensuring all designs are safe, efficient, and reliable.
Conduct and oversee complex engineering studies, such as load flow, short circuit, arc flash, and protection coordination analysis using industry-standard software.
Act as the lead technical expert, providing guidance and mentorship to a team of electrical engineers and designers throughout the project lifecycle.
Serve as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders, including electrical utility providers, clients, and project managers, to facilitate design approvals and coordinate power connections.
Ensure all electrical designs adhere to international and local codes (e.g., NEC, IEC), project specifications, and best practices.
Preparation of engineering reports (Design Basis, Conceptual, Design Development, and Detailed Design) including calculations, specifications, and BOQ
Knowledge of local (SEC, TES, Aramco, MOMRA, Tarshid, MoT) and international standards (IEEE, NFPA, IESNA, BS EN)
Software skills in Autocad or Microstation, Dialux, Etap
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Minimum 15 years
A proven track record of leading the design of electrical infrastructure projects in a senior or lead capacity.
Deep technical expertise in MV/LV power distribution system design, including the specification of switchgear, transformers, and cables.
Extensive experience with electrical engineering design software for analysis and simulation (e.g., ETAP, SKM PowerTools, or similar ).
Proficiency with computer-aided design (CAD) software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D) for producing detailed electrical layouts and schematics.
Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage scope, budget, and schedule for the electrical design portion of a project.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Previous experience with large-scale master-planned communities, critical infrastructure (airports, hospitals), or industrial projects.
Expertise in designing and specifying smart grid technologies or utility monitoring systems.
