Job Description:
Role Summary:
The L3 Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable infrastructure automation across compute and cloud domains. This role leads DevOps-driven practices, IaC tooling (Ansible, Terraform), and provides governance-compliant automation modules to support OS provisioning, patching, monitoring, and recovery processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement reusable automation frameworks (IaC, Ansible).
Develop enterprise-grade playbooks for OS, patching, storage, and backup automation.
Integrate automation into CI/CD toolchains and approval workflows.
Ensure governance compliance and documentation of all automation code and pipelines.
Mentor junior engineers and support teams on best practices.
Collaborate with monitoring and ITSM teams to auto-remediate common alerts.
- Expert in Ansible, Terraform, scripting languages (PowerShell, Python).
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Git, ServiceNow integration.
- Knowledge of OS provisioning, backup, and performance automation.
- Strong documentation and governance orientation.
Qualifications and Certifications
- Bachelors in engineering or computer science.
- 7+ years in IT automation roles with leadership in IaC delivery.
Nice-to-Have Skills Description:
- Certifications: HashiCorp Terraform Associate, Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, ITIL v4.
