In this Key Account Manager

Sectors: Automotive, Aviation and Defence

Job Purpose:

To achieve sustainable and profitable growth for the company by managing a defined portfolio of global and multinational customers. This includes maintaining long-term relationships, maximizing sales opportunities, and increasing gross profit. The role also targets identifying and closing new business opportunities within the global customer segments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage relationships with a defined number of global and multinational customers and prospects within specific sectors (serving as the primary contact and coordinating with internal stakeholders).
  • Ensure all Key Account activities are aligned with the global/regional sector strategy.
  • Deliver regional and/or country customer budget targets through a healthy sales pipeline, strong contractual performance, and proactive planning.
  • Participate in regional customer initiatives and support implementation of global business plans.
  • Collect and prepare relevant customer information for RFI/RFP/RFQ processes and ensure proper implementation and handover (e.g., Standard Operating Procedures).
  • Provide regular updates to Regional Customer Managers and executive sponsors, ensuring visibility on business-critical topics.
  • Execute the global/regional sector strategy at the country level.
  • Serve as the key point of contact for global customer stakeholders at the local level.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Solid understanding of the freight forwarding industry, including DGF products and business models; prior experience with multinational customers is required.
  • Proven ability to identify customer needs, gather insights, and build long-term strategic relationships.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in account management and a strong sales background.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • University degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and collaborative team player
