Job Summary:
The HSE Officer is responsible for implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental procedures on-site to ensure compliance with project requirements, client standards, and KSA regulations. The role involves daily site inspections, reporting, and promoting a strong safety culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily HSE inspections on-site to identify unsafe acts and conditions.
- Ensure compliance with project HSE plan, client requirements, and Saudi safety regulations.
- Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and safety awareness sessions to site staff.
- Monitor high-risk activities such as working at heights, lifting operations, electrical works, and confined space entry.
- Report incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and ensure proper corrective actions are implemented.
- Assist in incident/accident investigations and prepare reports with preventive measures.
- Maintain proper documentation such as permits, checklists, and inspection records.
- Support implementation of PTW (Permit to Work) systems.
- Coordinate with supervisors, subcontractors, and client representatives for safe execution of work.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of HSE experience in Solar/PV or industrial construction projects.
- NEBOSH IGC / IOSH or equivalent safety certification required.
- Good knowledge of KSA safety regulations and international HSE standards.
- Strong communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
- Ability to prepare HSE reports and maintain accurate safety records.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to promote a strong safety culture.
