AlWatania Information Systems is seeking a proactive GCP DevOps Engineer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will play a vital part in bridging the gap between development and operations by utilizing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to automate and enhance our development processes. You will work closely with developers to streamline the software delivery pipeline and ensure continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices are followed. Your technical skills in cloud infrastructure and automation tools will help optimize our cloud environments and improve operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using GCP services and related tools.
- Develop automation scripts and infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions for deploying and managing cloud resources.
- Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure performance and implement best practices for scalability and efficiency.
- Work collaboratively with development teams to streamline workflows and improve release cycles.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the development and production environments swiftly.
- Ensure security best practices are followed while handling cloud resources and data.
- Document cloud architecture, operational procedures, and incident responses.
- Stay current with GCP updates and emerging DevOps tools and practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a DevOps role, with a significant focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Strong background in CI/CD methodologies and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Cloud Build).
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, and compliance standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Good communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams effectively.
- GCP certification (e.g., Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer) is a plus.
