The Role
Plays a critical role in ensuring the project is delivered in compliance with environmental laws, sustainability goals, and client requirements, while minimizing ecological impact. Compliance & Regulatory Liaison o Ensure the project complies with Saudi environmental laws, General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) regulations, and any applicable international standards (e.g., IFC, LEED, ISO 14001). o Liaise with government agencies for permits, Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), and audits. o Coordinate with PIF sustainability teams and consultants. Environmental Planning & Risk Management o Develop and implement an Environmental Management Plan (EMP) for construction and operational phases. o Identify environmental risks early (e.g., habitat disruption, air/water pollution, waste generation) and put mitigation strategies in place. o Plan for climate resilience, extreme weather, and sustainable resource use. Construction Phase Oversight o Monitor noise, dust, vibration, and emissions to ensure they’re within permissible limits. o Manage waste segregation, recycling, and disposal in line with environmental targets. o Oversee soil erosion control and stormwater management to prevent site contamination. o Ensure subcontractors follow environmental protocols. Sustainability Integration o Support achievement of LEED Platinum or other sustainability certifications targeted by KSIA. o Promote renewable energy, water conservation, and energy efficiency in design and operations. o Encourage use of sustainable materials and low-carbon construction methods. Training & Awareness o Deliver environmental training to site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders. o Embed environmental awareness in daily construction and operational activities. Reporting & Documentation o Maintain detailed logs of environmental inspections, audits, and incidents. o Provide monthly environmental performance reports to project leadership and stakeholders. o Document evidence for compliance audits and certification processes

Requirements
o Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or related field; Master’s degree preferred. o Proven experience managing environmental compliance for large-scale infrastructure or aviation projects. o Strong knowledge of Saudi environmental laws, General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) regulations, and international standards (e.g., IFC, LEED, ISO 14001). o Hands-on expertise in Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), permitting, and regulatory liaison. o Experience developing and implementing Environmental Management Plans (EMP) for both construction and operational phases.
