We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Desktop Support Engineer to provide technical assistance and support for hardware, software, and network-related issues. You will work closely with end-users to resolve IT problems quickly and efficiently, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support for hardware and software issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve OS, application, and network connectivity problems.
- Set up user accounts, permissions, and passwords in line with IT policies.
- Perform system upgrades, patch management, and antivirus updates.
- Maintain asset inventory and documentation of IT systems.
- Assist with network troubleshooting in collaboration with the network team.
- Provide end-user training and guidance on IT systems and tools.
- Escalate unresolved issues to the next level of support.
Requirements
- 4+ years’ experience in desktop or IT support roles.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft 365, and basic networking.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
