Woodston Personnel is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Consultant in Plastic Surgery to join our client’s medical team at a leading healthcare facility in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a burn unit and demonstrate excellence in the full spectrum of reconstructive plastic surgery. Main Duties and Responsibilities
Lead and manage the assessment, diagnosis, and surgical treatment of patients with acute and chronic burn injuries, including complex reconstructions.
Perform advanced plastic and reconstructive procedures, including skin grafts, flap surgery, microsurgery, scar revisions, and post-burn deformity corrections.
Provide expert opinion on complex cases and ensure the highest standard of surgical care is maintained across all patient interactions.
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including intensivists, anesthetists, rehabilitation specialists, physiotherapists, and psychologists to ensure comprehensive burn care.
Participate in regular ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and operating theatre lists dedicated to plastic and burn surgery.
Supervise, mentor, and support junior medical staff, including residents, registrars, and fellows, fostering a culture of learning and development.
Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to strategic planning for the growth and improvement of plastic and burn care services.
Lead on quality assurance, clinical governance, and audit activities within the department.
Deliver structured teaching and training sessions to medical students, residents, and allied health professionals.
Support post-graduate training programs and contribute to curriculum development in plastic and reconstructive surgery, particularly in burn management.
Supervise research projects and academic work as appropriate.
Encourage and engage in clinical research initiatives, audits, and evidence-based practice improvements, particularly in the field of burn surgery and reconstructive techniques.
Present research findings at national and international conferences and contribute to peer-reviewed publications.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with clinical and legal standards.
Participate in the development, implementation, and review of departmental protocols, guidelines, and clinical pathways.
Assist in preparing service reports, business cases, and clinical data submissions to support service development and resource planning.

Essential Qualifications (One of the following certifications is required):
US Board Certification in Plastic Surgery
FRCS (Plastic Surgery) – Recognized from UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand
Diplôme d'Études Spécialisées (DES) or CIS – French Board
Facharzt with Sub-Board / Fellowship in Plastic Surgery, including burn care experience
CCST UK – Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (Plastic Surgery)
Minimum 3–5 years post-board/fellowship experience in dedicated burn unit
Proven expertise in complex reconstructive procedures
