The Role
- Act as an intermediary between the clients-prospects and insurance carriers.
- Listen and understand to the clients’ needs and find appropriate insurance solutions on the markets.
- Assist in the negotiation and implementation of insurance policies all whilst giving support and providing advice to the clients-prospects in relation to such insurance policies during the length of its contract.
- Obtain the necessary information, assist in responding to technical queries, and prepare quotes and summaries for clients.
- Request quotes on behalf of clients-prospects, negotiate to obtain the best terms, conditions, prepare placing slips and other documentation, etc.
- Ensure efficient follow up with clients-prospects and insurers as and when needed.
- Liaise with internal teams (e.g., Claims, Risk, Compliance and Finance) for the overall management of assigned portfolio.
- Processing and filing of documents on the internal management information systems
- Build strong relationships with clients both internal and external, collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams
- Adhere to the company’s compliance policies and procedures
The Requirements
- Degree in Management, Economics, Finance or related field, or professional insurance qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in General Insurance (insurer or broker)
- Knowledge of insurance underwriting and placement practices and the ability to provide appropriate product coverage options
- Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CRM software
