Responsibilities:
- Plan, supervise, and execute earthworks activities in compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and timelines.
- Review and interpret project drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure smooth project execution.
- Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with quality and design requirements.
- Monitor progress and prepare daily/weekly reports for management.
- Identify and resolve technical issues and challenges on-site.
- Ensure strict adherence to HSE requirements and promote a strong safety culture.
- Prepare method statements, work schedules, and resource plans.
- Liaise with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Verify quantity take-offs for earthworks and ensure accuracy in billing and documentation.
- Participate in progress meetings and provide engineering input to resolve conflicts or design changes.
- Support quality assurance by maintaining proper documentation and records.
- Monitor cost control measures to avoid budget overruns.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and site supervisors when required.
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of proven experience in civil engineering with a focus on earthworks.
- Experience in large-scale infrastructure or construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and project management practices.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and MS Office.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment.
