Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Level 3 Certified Breaker Technician/Engineer to join our electrical testing and maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing and overseeing the testing, maintenance, and repair of low, medium voltage circuit breakers and related switchgear equipment in accordance with International standards, safety protocols, and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform acceptance and maintenance testing on circuit breakers (LV, MV) and related protective equipment per International standards (ANSI/NETA ATS & MTS or equivalent International standards).
- Conduct troubleshooting, inspection, disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, and testing of air and vacuum circuit breakers.
- Utilize test equipment such as Ductor testers, insulation resistance testers (Megger), micro-ohmmeters, and time and travel analyzers (e.g., Doble, Megger, Vanguard).
- Accurately interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and one-line drawings.
- Lead small teams or work independently on field projects, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and schedule requirements.
- Document test results clearly and concisely, preparing comprehensive field service reports.
- Provide technical guidance to junior technicians and assist with on-the-job training.
- Interface professionally with clients, vendors, and contractors while maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Ensure compliance with all safety practices and procedures, including the use of appropriate PPE and adherence to NFPA 70E and OSHA regulations.
Qualifications:
- NETA Level 3 Certification or equivalent International standard required .
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical testing and field service, specifically with breakers and switchgear.
- Strong knowledge of circuit breaker theory, relay testing, and electrical power systems.
